Once the initial sketch was created, it was on to drafting the sign. Before I started I needed to do additional research on the height and overall material dimensions such as the marquee. Since there are many variations on 70's sign dimensions I took an average of them.

Throughout this stage I kept asking myself questions such as proportions, materials, and ultimately, how it would be constructed. It was important for me to be as clear as possible with my drawing.

Eventually, more detailed drawings will be produced with specific detailed callouts and material specifications for each part.
